WATCH: Varun Dhawan's Comic Timing Stands Out In 'Dishoom' Trailer

Varun Dhawan's Comic Timing Stands Out In The 'Dishoom' Trailer

The trailer for Dishoom, directed by Rohit Dhawan (Desi Boyz) was unveiled on Wednesday evening.

Starring John Abraham and Varun Dhawan as two law enforcement agents from India and the United Arab Emirates respectively, the multi-starrer looks like a slick, out-and-out commercial entertainer.

It also features Jacqueline Fernandez as a double agent, and there's a glimpse of Nargis Fakhri in the trailer. The plot revolves around a star Indian cricketer named Viraj Sharma (no prizes for guessing who that's a reference to), played by Saqib Saleem.

On the eve of a crucial India-Pakistan match, he gets kidnapped by a mysterious man named Wagah, played by Akshaye Khanna, who returns to the big screen after a gap of four years (he was last seen in 2012's Gali Gali Chor Hai).

While not all jokes in the trailer will make you laugh out loud, Dhawan's sincere comic timing and Khanna's presence stand out. On the face of it, Dishoom looks like a fun, broad buddy cop comedy.
