The Salman Khan-starrer Sultan has been generating a steady buzz on social media platforms as the studio, Yash Raj Films, has cleverly kept the interest in the film alive by systematically releasing teasers.

The Ali Abbas Zaffar-directorial will see Khan play a Haryanvi wrestler who conquers several odds in his quest to master his discipline and score a gold for India at the Olympics.

Anushka Sharma, the film's leading lady, plays a wrestler too and both actors underwent a physically gruelling regime to look apt for their respective parts.

The film's cast, along with the director, unveiled the film's trailer at Mumbai's Film City area in what was a glitzy ceremony.

Intense and gritty, the trailer looks spirited and hopefully the fights -- the major USP of any wrestling-drama won't disappoint. What is also refreshing to watch is Khan's chemistry with Sharma -- the couple shares an effortlessly endearing vibe and it perhaps helps that the duo hasn't been paired together in the past.

Khan also flaunts his chiseled body and his rugged charm is contrasted with his goofiness, a trait he's often capitalised on in his previous films.

The thumping background score, composed by music director duo Vishal-Shekhar, adds dramatic tension to the proceedings. Hopefully, the in-film treatment would be slightly more subtle as given the nature of the story, it's easy for the film to fall in the melodramatic category.
