Rajasthan's Phalodi Records 51 Degrees

JAIPUR -- Normal life was thrown out of gear in parts of Rajasthan as the state continued to sizzle under extreme heat conditions with Phalodi being the hottest at 51 degrees Celsius.

This is the highest day temperature in the state this season followed by Churu where the maximum temperature was 50.2 degrees Celsius.

Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Kota and Jaipur recorded maximum of 49, 49.5, 49.5, 48.2 and 46.5 degrees Celsius respectively, MeT department said.

Heat wave conditions continued to prevail in other parts as well with Pilani and Ajmer recording a maximum of 45.5 and 44.7 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
