Motorola has confirmed that their upcoming offering Moto G4 is going to be Amazon exclusive and will be launched on 17 May.

The phone will have better battery life and camera than its predecessor. It will have either 2 GB or 3 GB RAM based on the variants. It will also have cameras of 13 MP or 16 MP and storage of 16 or 32 GB internally. Users would be able to expand the memory by adding a microSD card.

The phone would have a 5.2-inch full HD display and a Qualcomm 430 processor. And it will have a battery capacity of 3000 mAh as per the reports. The price is yet to be announced.

A leak on Twitter suggested that two variants of G4 might launch at the same time. Some of the reports also suggest that Moto G4 will have a new fingerprint sensor on the front and NFC capabilities.

"The e-commerce market will continue to be the dominating channel for us as we bring new products to the India market. Amazon.in is the one of the best online marketplaces in India and we are glad to announce that we have exclusively partnered with Amazon India for our next Motorola smartphone," said Amit Boni, country head of Motorola Mobility in India in a press statement.

Moto G has been the most successful product for Motorola over the years. But in the recent years due to the rise of Chinese manufacturing, it has faced some serious competition. Phones like Lenovo Zuk Z1 and Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 would give it a good competition.
