While the world has vigorously embraced (no puns here) salsa and tango, on International Dance Day here's a tribute to India's glorious dance forms from the states -- as colourful and varied as their topography.

Celebrated every year on April 30, since 1982, International Dance Day not only draws the attention of the wider public to the performing art, it also marks the birthday of French dancer and ballet master Jean-Georges Noverre.

Not just bhangra, bharatnatyam or kathakali, there are many other folk and classical dance forms that need your love.
