This Indian Version Of 'Star Wars' Theme Will Take You To A Galaxy Far, Far Away

The Indian Jam Project has been re-creating some of our favourite theme music and turning them desi for a while now. Right after they created an Indian version for the Harry Potter theme, they now have something even more magical.

Using the harmonium, sitar, sarangi, flute, tabla, keyboards and ghungroos, the Mumbai-based group of musicians have produced one of the most unique renditions of John Williams’ timeless score--'The Star Wars' theme.

The cover includes some of the most famous pieces from the Star Wars movies.

Besides the main theme, there is 'The Force Awakens' theme, 'Cantina Song', 'The Imperial March', 'Dual of Fates' and the 'Jedi Code'.

Of course it isn't easy to cover John Williams' timeless score-- He has received fifty Oscar nominations and has played a crucial role in preserving the art of orchestral film music.

But, the force is quite strong with this one.

The band has earlier covered scores from TV shows and movies including Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar, Game of Thrones, and BBC’s Sherlock.

We are sure both Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader would approve.
