On Tuesday, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor unveiled the first look of his upcoming flick, Udta Punjab, which also features Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the Shaandaar (2015) actor plays a rock star named Tommy Singh in the film.

Kareena, who will be seen sharing the silver screen with Shahid, after 2007's Jab We Met told The New Indian Express, "I play a doctor in the film. It's [the role] very simple and nice, good Samaritan kind of a thing. But the whole atmosphere of the film is so nice and dark that the role is very different."

Kapoor also shared the film's first look on Twitter, with the caption "And it begins".
