Harsha Bhogle's unexpected ouster from IPL this year has led to wild speculations on the reasons behind this sudden move. Harsha Bhogle's own surprise over the termination of his contract by BCCI has added fuel to fire.

“No one told me anything. I have not been formally told of the reason even now,” Bhogle told The Indian Express. " All I have been told is ‘it is a BCCI management decision’."

His 3.66 million followers on Twitter and his other fans are not amused, and are urging the cricket board to take back the decision and reinstate him. As several of his fans pointed out, Bhogle has a bigger following than even BCCI (by over a million Twitter users).

The demand for his return is only growing.

I support @bhogleharsha, @BCCI please listen to cricket lovers

The ninth edition of the IPL began over the weekend. Bhogle's fans say they would rather watch it on mute than not have their favourite commentator around.

Missing Harsha Bhogle in IPL!!! The fun has gone. Better to mute the TV!!

They can be extremely vindictive too.

If we don't support #BringBackHarsha , we deserve inane commentary by people like Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjeraker and Akash Chopra

— The Bad Doctor (@DOCTORATLARGE) April 10, 2016

Sacked Harsha Bhogle & Brought Siddhu?

Dear BCCI,

It's Cricket, Not Comedy Nights. #BringBackHarsha#IPL

— Sir Ravindra Jadeja (@SirJadeja) April 10, 2016

And are ready to go where Bhogle is.

I'd rather follow @bhogleharsha commentary on the IPL on Twitter than watch the game on Sony Six. #BringBackHarsha

— NDS (@_NDS15) April 11, 2016

Because he will win it for them.

India can't win this IPL without Harsha Bhogle #BringBackHarsha
