A massive pile-up of 25 cars on the National Highway-1 in Haryana killed at least four people early on Wednesday.

"The accidents took place due to dense fog. Around four-five people have died," said an eye-witness.

"Due to dense fog, many vehicles collided with each other. Four people have died. They were going to Amritsar. We have sent the dead bodies to Karnal Hospital," Police Officer Kanwar Pal told the media.

A Figo car collided with a truck, leading to four out of five people being killed on the spot. Two dozen vehicles collided with each other after the accident.

The police has sent the dead to the Karnal Hospital.
