Ryan School Student's Death: Delhi Police Commissioner Says Post-Mortem Report Doesn't Indicate Sexual Assault

New Delhi -- Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said on Monday that the post-mortem report of the six-year old student found dead in a water tank on the Ryan International School campus suggested that there was no prima facie indication of any sexual assault.

“The post-mortem report has been received and that is being studied. Initial reading of the report does not indicate any sexual assault. Death was due to drowning,” Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi told reporters here.

The father of deceased class I student Divyansh Kakrora had alleged on Friday that injury marks were seen on the dead body, including his private parts, which indicated that the boy was subject to a “heinous crime.”

Kakrora was found dead in the school’s water tank late last month, following which the Delhi government had accused the school of criminal negligence and ordered a probe.
