The Kanyakumari-Bangalore Express got derailed early Friday morning in Tamil Nadu, leaving 13 passengers injured. According to ANI, four coaches were derailed between Somanayakanpatti and Patchur at around 4:15 AM.

The injured personnel were rushed to nearby Tirupatur government hospital.
According to a NDTV report, at least 11 trains have been cancelled between the Chennai and Bengaluru sector due to the accident, including the Chennai-Bengaluru-Chennai double decker, Chennai-Bengaluru-Chennai Brindavan Express and Lalbagh Express, among others.
