"My mother Mrinalini Sarabhai has just left for her eternal dance," her daughter and noted classical Indian dancer Mallika Sarabhai wrote in a touching Facebook post. Sarabhai is survived by her daughter, son (Kartikeya Sarabhai), four grand-children and three great-grandchildren.

In 1984, Sarabhai set up an institute of dance in Ahmedabad, where she trained many dancers and choreographers, and established an immortal niche in the classical performing arts industry.
