MUMBAI -- Reports that the Mumbai Police has downgraded security of around 40 Bollywood celebrities after an annual assessment of threat perception, has been denied by them, according to fresh inputs.

Actors Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra were among those whose security had allegedly been downgraded.

Now, according to fresh reports, Mumbai police has declined any such rumour saying that there is no downscaling of existing personal security provided to these film personalities.

The Mumbai Police had earlier said that there was nothing new in upgrading or downgrading personal security of prominent personalities, as it was a routine practice to analyse threat perception and review it accordingly.
