Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed passed away on Thursday after a brief illness. At 79, Sayeed had taken over the reigns of the state in March 2015, as his party People's Democratic Party (PDP) was a part of the ruling alliance.
