Sadhana was one of two yesteryear actresses I had a crush on, the other being Nanda (I know!) Stunning in Hum Dono: https://t.co/EIBFXB5Vdj— Aniruddha Guha (@AniGuha) December 25, 2015
Sadhana, as she was credited in her films and popularly known, was one of her era's top actresses, appearing in films such as Hum Dono (1961), Woh Kaun Thi (1964), Waqt (1965), and Mera Saaya (1966). She was a fashion icon, famous for sporting an Audrey Hepburn-esque fringe that has since been popularly known as the 'Sadhana cut'.
Having appeared in some of the biggest hits of her time, Sadhana had featured in several popular Hindi film songs. Here, in no particular order, are seven of the most iconic songs that were picturised on her:
1. 'Jhumka Gira Re' from Mera Saaya (1966)
2. 'Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar' from Hum Dono (1961)
3. 'Lag Jaa Gale' from Woh Kaun Thi (1964)
4. 'Aage Bhi Jaane Na Tu' from Waqt (1965)
5. 'Naina Barse Rimjhim' from Woh Kaun Thi (1964)
6. 'Aaja Aai Bahar' from Rajkumar (1964)
7. 'Tumne Pukara Aur Hum Chale Aaye' from Rajkumar (1964)
