NEW DELHI -- As the political slugfest over DDCA affairs intensified between AAP and Arun Jaitley, the party last night hit back at the Finance Minister saying it will file an FIR against him today.

Jaitley had earlier said that he was slapping criminal and civil defamation cases against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders in Delhi courts today for making "false and defamatory" statements against him.

"I will file an FIR against @arunjaitley and others tomorrow," AAP leader Sanjay Singh tweeted last night.

मैं कल @arunjaitley और उनके साथी घोटालेबाजों पर FIR दर्ज करूँगा।

— Sanjay Singh AAP (@SanjayAzadSln) December 20, 2015

Upping the ante against Jaitley, AAP pressed for his immediate removal from the Union Cabinet and said it would not be "bogged down by such intimidatory tactics".

AAP government also announced a Commission of Inquiry to go into alleged irregularities in Delhi and District Cricket Association.

Jaitley told PTI that he has instructed legal team in his personal capacity to institute civil defamation cases in the Delhi High Court and criminal defamation cases in the Patiala House courts against Kejriwal, Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Deepak Bajpai.

Kejriwal and the five AAP leaders have publicly been making allegations against Jaitley and his family members with regard to the DDCA affairs.

Jaitley has rubbished the allegations against his family members. He has chosen not to give any legal notice to Kejriwal and other AAP leaders asking them to apologise or face defamation cases. Instead, the cases will be filed straightaway in the courts.
