MUMBAI -- Praising his Bajirao Mastani co-star Deepika Padukone for delivering a slew of outstanding performances, actor Ranveer Singh said she deserves all the accolades coming her way.

"It is well-deserving...the awards and accolades that are coming her way...one after the other outstanding performance. I think Piku is a special film. It is a brave and honest film. No one expected it, but it did well. I am proud of you Deepika," Ranveer told reporters at the Big Star Entertainment awards.

Deepika won two awards for Piku - 'Best Actress of the Year' and 'Most Entertaining Actress in a Drama role'.

Ranveer and Deepika are excited about their soon to be released film Bajirao Mastani, as the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed historical drama will hit the screens on 18 December.

"It is wonderful to see the love that people are showering on us for Bajirao Mastani. It feels wonderful to see their love and it feels good to meet fans," Ranveer said.

However, the Ram Leela (2013) fame actor chose not to say anything on the controversy surrounding Bajirao Mastani.
