Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bang Bang (2014), directed by Siddharth Anand, was a damp-ish squib at the box office when it released in October last year. Now, according to Mumbai Mirror, a sequel to the film is on the cards.
Bang Bang was an official remake of the Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz starrer Knight And Day (2010). However, according to the report, its sequel will have a brand new cast and plot. Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez have been roped in to play the leads, and the upcoming film — which is not a continuation of its predecessor — is being directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK (99, Shor In The City, Go Goa Gone).
The duo has also written the script, which a source quoted in the Mirror report described as "fantastic". "Sidharth and Jacqueline will start prepping up for this action-adventure once they are done shooting for their respective projects. The sequel is expected to go on the floors sometime mid-next year," the source was quoted as saying.
