MUMBAI, INDIA - SEPTEMBER 4: Indrani Mukerjea's daughter Vidhie Mukerjea arrives at Khar Police Station in connection with Sheena Bora murder case on September 4, 2015 in Mumbai, India. Sheenas mother Indrani Mukherjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai have been arrested on the charge of murdering Sheena and disposing of the body in a Raigad forest in April 2012. Despite severe discord between them, Sheena Bora probably never imagined that her own mother could kill her to secure her own future. However, Indrani Mukerjea's other daughter Vidhie had a hunch that her mother was on to something very dangerous. Vidhie's biological father Sanjeev Khanna is a co-accused in the case.

The chargesheet filed by the CBI in the case mentions a text from Vidhie to Peter Mukerjea's son Rahul, warning him and Sheena that her mother is furious with them and may do something dreadful.

In an SMS sent to Rahul in 2011, Vidhie had said, "...Mama is getting 'worried' about you 2 so I am just warning you guys.. pl don't say anything because I will actually be dead. If not dead Mama will do something soooooo bad...trust me..Mama says she doesn't want to break up the relationship she wants to get someone out of the way. I ve just heard something exotic..."

Reports suggest that Peter Mukerjea had instructed Rahul to not attend a wedding in the family. However, Rahul, alongwith Sheena and his mother Shabnam Singh attended the wedding much to displeasure of Peter and Indrani. It is then that Indrani flew into a rage and Vidhie sent a warning message to Rahul.

Sheena was murdered a year later.

Indrani allegedly paid Rs 1.25 lakh to her driver to help her plan the murder and dispose the body.

A TOI report states: "Both went to Lonavala to finalize the body disposal spot, on the return purchased two big- size bags, stored them in the car boot and met Sheena the next day for her engagement gift and dinner at Amarsons showroom in Khar... On April 24, the day of the murder, Indrani, says the CBI, purchased liquor, water, sedatives, hand gloves and also visited a beauty parlour. She purchased two pairs of male shoes and one female pair."
