Chetan Kakkar, who hails from Delhi Technological University (DTU), has landed a dream job at Google with a stunning starting salary of $1,90,000 (Rs 1.27 crore approximately), setting a new record for international placement in his university, according to reports.

The highest offer at Delhi Technological University (DTU) made so far has been Rs 93 lakh. “This was what I had been striving so far, and I am excited to join Google,” said the young man in an interview with Times of India.

A final-year student who is pursuing information technology, Kakar said that DTU campus had made a great difference to his prospects – he graduated from Springdales, Pusa Road, and his parents taught at Delhi University.

Kakkar will joining Google, California after completing his course in 2016.
