JAMMU -- BJP said the world community should take serious note of revelation by former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf that his country had trained and sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and declare it as a "rogue state".

State BJP spokesman Virender Gupta said Musharraf's confession vindicates India's stand that Pakistan is the mother of terrorism.

He said the international community should take cognizance of the revelation and act firmly against Pakistan, whose actions are dangerous for the peace and security of not only India but the world community.

"The BJP demands that Pakistan should be declared as a rogue state and it be isolated by imposing political, economic and military sanctions in view of recent admission Musharraf that Pakistan trained and sponsored religious terrorism in Kashmir," Gupta said.

Musharraf recently said in an interview to a Pakistani channel that Pakistan had supported and trained terror groups like the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in 1990s for fanning militancy in Kashmir.

Musharaf's assertion that "Taliban, Haqqani, Osama Bin Laden, Zawahiri, Hafiz Lakhvi are Heroes of Pakistan" speaks of how much respect, love and affection our neighbor country has towards these enemies of humanity," Gupta said.
