A 13-year-old girl has allegedly beheaded a five-year-old boy after his father reportedly raped her, according to a report in Hindustan Times. The ghastly incident was reported in Uttar Pradesh's Khair district, where the teenage girl apparently lured the child away and took him to a vacant plot, where she allegedly first beheaded him and then smashed his body with bricks before setting it up on fire. The girl has been taken into police custody, according to the report.
“Police have taken the girl into custody after registering an FIR. The girl’s father has also lodged an FIR of rape against Rinku, who has been taken into custody for investigation after recording the victim’s statement,” Rajveer Singh, a police inspector at Khair police station told HT.
According to the report, the incident first came to light when stray dogs apparently "dragged out the boy’s half-burnt body" the day after the murder. The girl has told police that the boy's father had raped her.
A case of murder against the girl has been registered, while the boy's father has been booked under rape and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act.
