NEW DELHI -- Ten days after he was beaten up by Bharatiya Janata Party lawmakers in the Jammu and Kashmir State Assembly for hosting a "beef party," MLA Engineer Rashid was attacked with ink in Delhi by men shouting "Gau Mata ki jai."

"This is Talibanisation of India. This is Modi's India and not Gandhi's India. I don't know them. I just want to tell them that Kashmir has seen death of over 80,000 people, putting ink o on Engineer Rashid's face will not solve the issue," he said, India Today reported.

Vishnu Gupta led Hindu Sena claimed responsibility for ink attack on Rashid, ANI reported on Monday, and two people have been detained in connection with attack and taken to the Tughlak Road Police Station.

Earlier this month, Shiv Sena workers dunked columnist Sudheendra Kulkarni with paint because he was hosting former Pakistan foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri's book launch in Mumbai.

India Today reported that some unidentified men barged into Press Club of India and smeared black ink on Rasheed's face while shouting, "Gau Mata ki jai."
