KISHANGANJ, West Bengal -- The West Bengal Police on Wednesday reportedly ordered the arrest of AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi for his controversial remarks at a recent rally held here.

"The police has formed a team to arrest Owaisi, but there are police provisions for the arrest. We will proceed accordingly," said Rajeev Ranjan Superintendent of Police, Kishanganj.

An FIR was lodged against Owaisi on Monday by the Kishanganj District administration for allegedly making an inflammatory speech at an election rally here last Sunday.
