With over 400 million users (and growing), Instagram has both a silver lining -- the fascinating array of visual delights -- and a dark one.
There are over 40 billion pictures on the photo-sharing app. So, how does one hope to separate oneself from all the noise, and gain some attention, especially if you are a small business?
Last month, the photo-sharing app announced that its ad-sharing platform was now available to big and small businesses in 30 countries, including India (previously it was open only to a select group of brands in the US), according to several reports.
Instagram also introduced additional features and formats, including Landscape photo and video, video ads of up to 30 seconds in length, and delivery and optimisation tools to manage and drive campaigns. Marquee, a new product that "helps drive mass awareness for events like movie premieres and new product launches" was also announced.
