Update: A video previously accompanying the piece has been removed after it was taken down from ABC's YouTube channel.
On Friday, Entertainment Weekly tweeted out a prolonged sneak peek (or literally 8 minutes) of upcoming terrorism sitcom Quantico, starring Priyanka Chopra, that was then excitedly tweeted out by the actress herself.
This quick watch introduces the audience to its main characters, also highlighting Alex Parrish aka Chopra's (wink, nudge) sex scene with some clever post-coital lines about not wanting to reveal her identity, while uncovering everything about her partner (American actor Jake McLaughlin) in about 20 seconds. Of course, in a moment that's pretty reminiscent of Grey's Anatomy's first episode, they later bump into each other at the FBI academy.
Quantico will be aired by American TV Network American Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) on 27 September, and has caused plenty of excitement in the subcontinent, where it will air almost in tandem on Star World.
Chopra also posted an Instagram picture of the first scene that zooms in on an Om bracelet that serves its blatant purpose of highlighting her Indian background (because, clearly her adopted American accent might throw people off).
The Mary Kom actress received a flurry of congratulatory messages on Twitter for her stellar performance and 'perfectly American' accent that she admitted she was nervous about. However 8 minutes is naught but an overboiled egg... we need to see more.
