This morning, Twitter trolls found a new target -- Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor.
The actress, possibly upset over the BMC-imposed four-day meat ban in Mumbai, tweeted a link to the story and called the prohibition 'misogynistic'.
Our country is going to remain a 3rd world nation because of the intolerant misogynistic close minded few. https://t.co/JcIDEC3gQE

Soon, all hell broke loose when people started pointing out that 'misogynistic' was probably not the right word to use in this situation.
@mithunkoppal no it doesn't moron

This didn't go down too well with the actress. She, in turn, started calling people 'morons' and 'a******s'.
@rathore025 yes you chauvinistic human being

So just because we are women, we shouldn't call a stupid woman stupid, but it's okay if we do the same to men? https://t.co/qn18UAVSSu

@hankypanty it was a critique of the general mentality.. Not just related to the meat ban.. This exact judgmental bullshit fucks us.
— Sonam Kapoor (@sonamakapoor) September 8, 2015
Sonam defended herself by telling "judgmental a******s' that it was a critique of the "general mentality" and not "exclusive to the banning of meat."
Before being judgmental assholes. What I said was a critique of the general mentality .. Which is not exclusive to the banning of meat.

In the end, she decided to ignore the trolls and talk about "fashion and brands."
Well I guess it's back to talking about fashion and brands.. Lol
