Indian President Pranab Mukherjee might have a lot of responsibilities, but he's not too busy to create history by teaching a class a day before Teachers' Day. On Friday, he taught Political Science to the students of Class 11 and 12 of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, located inside the Presidential Estate, in New Delhi.
Apparently, no sitting President has taught a class before.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also interacted with 800 students and 60 teachers from various schools in New Delhi along with students from across the country who have excelled in various activities.
These Teachers Day events were held on September 4, instead of September 5, the actual Teachers Day, because Saturday is a school holiday for most schools and the country is also celebrating Janamashtmi that day.
Stage set 4 President Pranab Mukherjee- he'll give a lesson on India's political history.

The President is all set to tell the students about Indian political history exactly as he has seen it unfolding before his eyes. Later, he will address over a 100 teachers for an hour or so. President Mukherjee was a college professor and a journalist before he joined politics in 1969.
The idea for the President to teach a class of students was suggested by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia.
