There are very few people in the world who haven't seen a photo of rugged Russian President Vladimir Putin riding a horse bare-chested in Siberia. Putin loves to cut a macho figure in his country and is known to go fishing and swimming in icy rivers.

His vacation photos in the Tuva region of southern Siberia, showing him swimming the butterfly stroke and fishing in a mountain river stripped to the waist, caused international sensation. Another set of photos show him sitting in a tree, wearing khaki pants and T-shirt with a canvas bush hat.

On August 30, Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev met during lunch during their meeting at the Black Sea resort of Sochi, Russia and showed the world the value of a healthy lifestyle. They hit the gym together, grilled meat at a barbecue and raised a toast jokingly over tea.

Here are the photos.

When Xi Jinping took the reins of a booming China two years ago, President Barack Obama saw an opportunity to remake America's relationship with the Asian power. But even after Obama's unusually robust efforts to forge personal ties with Xi, the two leaders are meeting in Beijing amid significant tensions, both old and new. (AP Photo/Andy Wong)
