If you've ever watched TV shows such as Comedy Circus, Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Nonsense Unlimited, and Movers And Shakers, then you probably know who Surinder Singh is.

The ever-cheery tabla player and music director, whose distinctive 'tadka' beat that follows certain punchlines is so well-known that it's even available as a mobile ringtone, is a familiar and comforting presence for viewers. He is often seen grinning infectiously at the jokes being cracked on some of these shows, even if a few of them are made at his expense.

Now, according to an emailed press statement, Singh will be making his Bollywood debut in the upcoming comedy Hum Sab Ullu Hain. The film, slated to release on September 11, stars a number of well-known comedians, such as Rakesh Bedi, Sunil Pal, Upasana Singh, and Dinesh Hingoo.

Well... we're sure he'll have a more significant role in the movie. Probably.
