It has been two decades since Sridevi played a shapeshifter, but she still manages to pull off the gaze of death fairly well.
In Puli, her latest film, she pairs a ton of silver-gold make up with some fabulous Manish Malhotra ensembles to play the evil queen, starring alongside Illayathalapathy Vijay (who will have completed 58 films with the release of this one), and Shruti Haasan. Kiccha Sudeep and Hansika Motwani are also present.
The film is scheduled to be out on September 17, and has been directed by Chimbu Devan, known for his fascination with fantasy fiction. According to reports, the trailer of the film (that is to be released in three languages - Hindi, Tamil and Telugu) has already outscored 'Baahubali' on social media.
