As the country celebrates its 69th Independence Day, social media has found a novel way of paying tribute to the Armed Forces--tweeting selfies with the hashtag #SaluteSelfie.
The hashtag is aimed to thank our troops to let them know that the country is thinking about them on this day.
The first selfie was posted by Amitabh Bachchan.

The #SaluteSelfie Twitter campaign, was started by the Reliance Group. The campaign has seen the participation of a number of prominent celebrities from all fields, as well as numerous users from all over India.
