Here, Behold The Incredible Coolness That Results When Hip Hop Meets Tabla

So, what happens when you replace drums with tabla, electronic music with Nadaswaram and rap lyrics with the typical tabla bol?

You get something, that you may have never heard.

And, this is what it sounds like:

Jomy George, an Indian American musician, composer and producer who have been giving an Indian twist to several compositions for some time now, has come up with a new project, where he plays some hip hop music, using the tabla as an instrument. This piece is called the 'tabla trap'.

The video Drum Talk TV videos on Facebook. "The tabla drum is one of the most difficult drums to play. Some serious finger action and tones going on here," says the post.

Jomy was born and raised in Kochi. His is the son of the famous recording artist Late KP George and is now regarded as one of the finest percussionists in North America specialising in tabla, dolak, dhol, drums and piano.

He also played with KJ Yesudas at the age of 14.
