A Vine Of Only The English Bits From 'Aaja Shaam Hone Aayi' For Your Viewing Pleasure

SP Balasubramaniam (officially spelt 'Balasubrahmanyam') is one of the greatest playback singers Indian cinema has ever had. The 69-year-old holds a Guinness World Record for having recorded the highest number of songs ever (over 40,000 in various languages), has won several film awards (including six National Awards), and has received the Padma Shri as well as the Padma Bhushan from the government for his life's work.

However — and we say this with the utmost amount of respect for the man — his heavily-accented English can sometimes lead to comedy gold. Here, for example, is a Vine posted by Delhi-based graphic designer Akshar Pathak, in which he strung together only the various English exclamations sung by Balasubramaniam in 'Aaja Shaam Hone Aayi' from Salman Khan and Bhagyashree starrer Maine Pyar Kiya (1989).

Pretty difficult to watch it without giggling, isn't it? Here is the original song.
