Motorola has launched three new models, the Moto X Pure Edition, Moto X Play and the next generation of Moto G. Here are more details about the latest smartphones.

Moto X Pure Edition

The latest in the X series, the Pure Edition will go by the name of Moto X Style in countries outside the United States. The Lenovo-owned company said that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and will be more intuitive.

The model comes with a 5.7-inch, quad-HD screen with hydrophobic nano-coating and a 21-megapixel rear camera, a 3,000mAh battery with Turbo Charge, based on Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology, and built-in storage of up to 64GB. The phone will be sold unlocked, as is the emerging trend, and will be sold online only starting in September.

Motorola also launched Moto X Play, which is smaller than the Pure Edition with a 5.5-inch, 1080p display and a Snapdragon 615 processor. However it boasts a bigger 3630mAh battery, enough to last for two days on a single charge. This phone will debut across 55 countries next month, but will not be sold in the U.S.

Moto G

The third generation of Moto G is powered the Snapdragon 410 processor. But what's more crucial is that it has built-in 4G LTE capability, which the previous generation was missing.

The model will have a 5-megapixel front camera and 13-megapixel rear camera. The screen is a 5-inch, 720p display, and made of HD Gorilla Glass. It also features IPX7-rated water resistance. The model will be available in 8GB and 16GB variants and can work with two SIM cards.

Both of the above models can be customised with the Moto Maker.
