SRINAGAR -- Three CRPF jawans and two civilians were injured in a grenade attack by militants in Anantnag district of south Kashmir today, police said.

Militants lobbed a grenade on a CRPF party in Qazi Bagh area near K P Road Anantnag, leaving five persons injured.

The injured have been rushed to a hospital, the police said, adding the area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched to nab the militants.

Police sources told NDTV that unknown militants lobbed the grenade towards a Central Reserve Police Force vehicle at KP Road.

On July 25, a similar grenade attack in the area killed one person and and injured five others, the report said.
