"Don’t give up on guitar for a year and the guitar won’t give up on you ever."

Do you think these are the wise words of a famous guitarist -- Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton or Joe Satriani? Nope. This is what a nostalgic autorickshaw driver in Mumbai, who used to be a professional guitarist, told his passenger.

Last week, when Kunj Karia, a blogger and a music enthusiast was returning from his guitar class, his auto driver started talking to him about guitars.

When Karia was curious about his interest in guitars, the driver revealed that he used to be a professional guitarist about 10 years back, and played with his group of friends at bars and restaurants.

He had to stop playing because of lack of gigs on a daily basis. "I was married and I needed something which assured my family food, at least twice a day," he told Karia.

Reminiscing, the driver said, "Every evening we used to meet, play our favorite songs and perform at some bars if we could get in. Good times, those."

The driver then asked Karia if he can strum a guitar for a bit. And, what a splendid job he did.
