Ever since stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma announced on Twitter that he is taking a break from his popular TV show Comedy Nights with Kapil because of bad health, there have been too many rumors doing the rounds.

Some reports suggest with Sharma gone, the show might come to an end soon while others say Sharma may be replaced by Karan Johar.

It won't be a surprise if Johar replaces Sharma — he judges India’s Got Talent and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on the channel and is already famous for his talk show Koffee With Karan.

However, when the director was interviewed by DNA, he denied the rumour. He said, "No. I don’t know where this rumour started from. It’s absolutely untrue. I can’t replace Kapil Sharma. I am not that stupid."

So, what does KJo's reaction mean? Does he mean he isn't as stupid as Sharma? Or does he mean he isn't stupid enough to try and replace the comic star that TV audiences seem to love unconditionally?

Well, only KJo will be able to tell you that.

In his interview, the film director also said he will plan on the next season of Koffee with Karan after he finishes shooting Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
