In yet another shocking incident that proved women's safety still remained a major concern in the country, a woman in Delhi alleged that a taxi driver was masturbating in the car while driving her to her destination.

Through several tweets and a Facebook post, the woman described the incident that occurred on the evening of July 2. In the Facebook post, she said that she had booked an Olacab to go from Saket in south Delhi to Faridabad in Haryana. However, she was sent a cab from TaxiForSure. The cab was being driven by Devinder Kumar.

It was while she was asking Kumar not to drive rashly that she noticed he was allegedly masturbating.

“He had little control over the wheel as well as his perverseness. He had a smile on his face that will haunt me for nights to come. A #PSYCHOTIC man with a severe chemical imbalance for a driver is nothing but serious,” she wrote in her Facebook post.

After her complaint, representatives from the company met the woman and told her that they have fired the driver.

However, on her Twitter account, she questioned whether sacking the driver was enough.

TaxiForSure CEO Arvind Singhal told Hindustan Times that they will stand by the passenger and will take the necessary action. “We regret the experience the passenger had, and we do not stand by the driver’s actions. The driver in question has been blacklisted by us and his services have been terminated," he said.

Last year in December, a 25-year-old woman executive was allegedly raped by an Uber driver while she was on her way home in north Delhi's Inderlok area.
