NEW DELHI -- High drama ensued in the Delhi Legislative Assembly when Bharatiya Janata Party's O.P. Sharma created ruckus over the alleged fake degrees of former law minister Jitender Singh Tomar, and suggested that the educational qualifications of all 70 lawmakers should be checked.

Sharma was marshalled out of the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday afternoon after he trooped into the Well of the House and confronted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

"I think we cant say the right thing any more," he said outside the Assembly, ANI reported. "If I suggested to the CM that degrees of all seventy MLAs be checked what is the harm in that?"

In the midst of the chaos, Kejriwal said that he had accepted Tomar's resignation, and the chief minister urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to initiate inquiry against BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and Vasundhara Raje who are embroiled in a scandal involving the travel documents of former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi.

"PM Modi must act against Sushma Swaraj, Vasandhara Raje like I have acted against Jitender Tomar," said Kejriwal, NDTV reported.

We will not tolerate any wrong doing no matter what, we are not related to any ministers. We accepted JS Tomar's resignation: AKejriwal
