Baba Ramdev, yoga's most public face in India, is not only credited with reviving the ancient discipline but also for making it accessible to millions of Indians as a set of simple poses and breathing exercises that can be practiced anywhere.

The spiritual guru has a $40 million-a-year global yoga empire and counts among his sizeable following India's top politicians and business tycoons.
