Tamil superstar Rajinikanth might be able to fight off all kinds of villains and bad guys in his films, but this situation might be a little awkward for him.

An FIR has been filed against Latha Rajinikanth, wife of the Tamil actor, for allegedly submitting fake documents in the court to get a "gag order on the media".

According to a report in India Today, a private complaint was filed against Latha and three others, alleging that she had "forged" the letterhead of the Welfare Association of India and the Press Club.

The additional commissioner of law and order (West), Bangalore, said, "A case has been filed against Latha Rajinikanth by a complainant who says that he has been cheated. This is to do with some post production work, where a sum of around Rs 14 crore had to be given to the person. A case of cheating and forgery has been filed."

In fact, a complaint was registered by an ad agency last year as well, saying that Latha and producer J Murali Manohar had cheated the firm after agreeing to give them the Tamil Nadu distribution rights of their film 'Kochadaiyaan'.
