NEW DELHI -- Former Delhi Minister Jitender Singh Tomar failed to recall names of anyone from the time he claims to have studied at Saket College, Faizabad, and former staffers, teachers and students, who were in the college between 1986-88, didn't remember him.

“None of them could recognise Tomar and nor could he recognise any of them," said college spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Singh, Indian Express reported.

Over the past two days, Tomar, 49, has been grilled for several hours at Saket College by the Delhi Police which is investigating his claims of procuring his Bachelor of Science degree degree from the varsity affiliated to RML Avadh University in Uttar Pradesh, and his law degree from Biswanath Singh Institute of Legal Studies in Munger, recognised by Tilak Manjhi Bhagalpur University of Bihar.

Singh said that Tomar also failed to provide the location of classrooms, science laboratories, the washroom, and when asked to find the physics laboratory, he went off in the opposite direction.

RML Avadh University has said that it has no record of Tomar's degree.

Earlier this week, a case of cheating and forgery was filed against Tomar, who is now in the custody of the Delhi police, which is conducting the second leg of its investigation in Bihar.

Meanwhile, NDTV reported that Tomar could face expulsion from the Aam Aadmi Party. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is reportedly furious that Tomar convinced him of his degree being genuine by allegedly producing a forged Right To Information reply from Saket college.

AAP is likely to make the decision in the next two days.
