Samsung has launched the 4G-edition of the Galaxy Core Prime in India, the smartphone is listed on its e-store as out of stock, but is retailing on Indiatimes e-store at Rs 9,750.

The 4G version of the Galaxy Core Prime was announced in February, but never really saw the light of day until now.

Powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset, the phone has 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of built-in storage and Adreno 306 graphics. It has a 4.5-inch WVGA (480x800) resolution display, a 5 megapixel camera on the back, and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. The phone supports two SIM cards has a microSD slot that accepts up to 64 GB memory. It has a 2000 mAh battery, connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS, microUSB, and FM radio.

The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with TouchWiz UI, the main shortcomings of the phone are a low resolution screen and lack of screen protection. The Galaxy Core will go against 4G phones like the Lenovo A7000, Huawei Honor 4X, and Redmi Note 4G, which are available at the same price range.
