WATCH: Kangana Ranaut And Irrfan Discuss Movies, The Industry And More

8 Highlights From An Amazing Discussion Between Kangana Ranaut And Irrfan

It's a film-lover's dream come true: Irrfan and Kangana Ranaut sit down together for an intimate discussion, and you have the ability to watch and hear the entire conversation as though you were right there with them.

Film critic Anupama Chopra orchestrated this coup in a video for her YouTube channel, Film Companion. Uploaded on Thursday, this video — which deserves to be watched and dissected by movie-lovers everywhere — brought together two actors currently at the top of their game and talking about movies, the industry, and a whole lot more.

Both 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns', which featured Kangana in a double role, and 'Piku', in which Irrfan shares equal screen-space with Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, have been extremely well-received by critics as well as the box-office. 'Piku' has grossed over Rs 100 crore worldwide, while 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' has already raked in Rs 95 crore. Both actors have received glowing reviews for their respective performances. Not only are the two currently considered the best actors Hindi cinema has at this time, but they're also in top form.

As you can imagine, a conversation between the two would reveal many things that would be of interest to lovers of films. Here are some of significant and interesting things they spoke about during that 20-minute chat that interested us the most:

1. Irrfan single-handedly elevated the interval of 'Piku' with one tiny movement, according to Kangana.

2. Kangana likes to edit her lines to her sensibilities, while making sure the content stays the same, while Irrfan has given up doing that because he got "bored" of bringing in his own personality again and again.

3. Kangana is becoming choosier and more intensely involved with acting -- and this is giving her grey hair.

4. They agree that the 'Rs 100 crore club' is a "curse" and audiences shouldn't care about box-office returns.

5. Irrfan feels that the audience wants film that challenge them now, and it's a good thing.

6. They're both embarrassed by the term 'Bollywood' and feel it is "regressive".

7. Kangana dislikes the negativity on social media and will never use it.
