Delhi Cop Jumps On Bonnet Of Speeding Car To Make It Stop, Dragged 200 Metres

Daredevil Delhi Cop Jumps On Bonnet Of Speeding Car To Make It Stop

Citizens willfully violating traffic rules on crowded city roads is not an unusual sight in India. So when Yogesh, a Delhi police constable who was on duty at the Noida border, saw one such car deliberately flouting traffic rules, he tried to stop it.

But according to the Headlines Today news channel, the car did not stop -- in fact it hit the cop, and dragged him along for over 200 metres.

When the constable realised that the car had no intention of slowing down, he jumped on its bonnet to make it stop. An auto-rickshaw, which was watching the whole scene from a distance, finally raced past the Alto and parked itself in front of it.

After all the drama, the car driver was finally taken to the police station by the constable. According to Headlines Today, Delhi police has initiated action against the driver and is also looking to reward the brave constable.
