Just when you thought Narendra Modi's sunglasses were the most eclectic fashion statement this year.
Sonam Kapoor's second day at Cannes garnered a lot of attention on Twitter about who/what she resembles in her Elie Saab gown on Monday. The actress donned the (ahem) feathered and beaded ensemble to attend the premiere of 'Inside Out' (this can't be a coincidence, surely), and has already inspired a few puns, not unlike Rihanna's canary-yellow cape i.e. the one the singer wore to the Met Gala recently.
We're not sure who's won the award for 'closest-resemblance-to-random-things' just yet, but it's fairly close:
Rihanna apparently looked like Spongebob. This guy thinks Sonam's dress be a Komondor (that rug that walks away, then you realise it's a dog):
