LUCKNOW — An Air India Airbus carrying 169 passengers to Bhubaneshwar from Delhi landed under emergency conditions at the airport here today after a crack developed in its windshield. All passengers are safe.

Airport Director S C Hota told PTI that AI-873 Airbus 321 was on its way to Bhubaneshwar when the pilot noticed a crack in the windshield on the rear side of the nose.

The pilot came in contact with the air traffic control at Lucknow at 11.54 AM when it was near Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh and sought permission for landing at the airport here, Hota said.

The aircraft landed safely at the airport at 12:37 PM.
