Legendary actress Madhuri Dixit Nene turns 48 today. The 'Dhak Dhak' Girl as she is fondly known in India for her moves in 'Beta', is respected for her dancing abilities. Also called the Madhubala of the 90s, the actress has immortalised the names of several choreographers (like Saroj Khan and Pandit Birju Maharaj), songs (such as 'Ek Do Teen' and 'Didi Tera Devar Deewana'), and even dance moves (don't forget 'Maar Dala' and ' Ghagra' ) .

She has also proven her versatility - from deliciously scandalous hip jhatkas and chest bumps in 'Choli ke Peeche' to elegant classical dancing in 'Devdas', and even hip hop isolations in 'Pukar', she is undoubtedly the reigning Queen of Bollywood dancing, even today.

Here are 9 timeless gifs that'll kill any debate on the topic:

No one does chest isolations quite like her:

She can change clothes while dancing:

It's not just her hips - her eyes dance too:

Okay, it is her hips...

Who can forget this iconic step?

She doesn't need human dance partners:

It's not all Bollywood - she pops and locks too!

... And does jazz

Mother warned us not to run with glass in our hands...she dances with it
