Trust Rihanna to turn heads at a red-carpet event.
No, this time it wasn't something see-through or barely-there. In fact, as dresses go, this one — the one she wore to the Met Gala in New York on Monday evening — was rather modest. A canary yellow cape embroidered with flora throughout, the pop diva wore it with nothing more than a headdress and a pink bra that peeked out.
Oh, and also the longest train ever.
The dress is "Chinese couture" by Guo Pei, a Beijing-based designer. "It’s handmade by one Chinese woman and it took her two years to make. I found it online,” she told Vanity Fair. Given that the theme at the Met Gala was 'China: Through The Looking Glass', Rihanna was reportedly one of the surprising few who wore a Chinese designer.
